In March of 2019, a simple idea sparked a delicious journey—why didn’t Kawartha Lakes, especially the Lindsay area, have a dedicated chocolate shop? And more importantly, why not create one? With a passion for exceptional chocolate and a commitment to quality, we set out to bring something truly special to our community. Using only the finest organic and fair-trade Belgian chocolate, we craft indulgent treats that not only delight the senses but also uphold ethical and sustainable practices.

At Kawartha Chocolate Boutique we are dedicated to crafting the finest chocolates while making a positive impact in our community. We endeavour to offer our customers chocolate that is flavourful, beautiful in appearance and budget oriented. We only use chocolate that is fair trade, supports ethical farming practices and organic.
We believe in quality and flavour ensuring that every piece of our chocolate brings joy to our customers and supports our community for a brighter future.
Our chocolate
Preparing the chocolate is a fine art. In order for our chocolate to be shiny and crisp when it is snapped, a process called tempering happens. It involves the science behind chocolate making, bringing the temperature up to melt, cooling to balance the sugars then brought back up in temperature to the final stage. The process takes about 3 hours to complete.
